Chocolate Candy

4 cups brown sugar

3 or 4 tablespoons chocolate

1 cup sweet milk

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon vanilla

½ cup walnut meats

Dash of salt

Chocolate Mallow Fudge

1 cup evaporated milk

2 cups sugar

2 6-ounce packages (one cup each) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

1½ cups miniature marshmallows

1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine evaporated milk and sugar in saucepan. Place over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil. Increase heat and boil two minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add semi-sweet chocolate pieces and vanilla and stir until smooth. Turn approximately one third of the chocolate mixture into wax paper-lined 8-inch square pan. Cover with miniature marshmallows, pressing marshmallows gently into chocolate. Top with remaining chocolate mixture. Chill and cut into squares. Yield: Approximately 2 pounds.
